How does the transformer oil reclamation process restore oil properties?

Reclamation restores oil by removing oxidation byproducts, acids, sludge precursors, moisture, and particles using adsorbents, filtration, and vacuum treatment. Unlike simple filtration, reclamation chemically improves oil quality and can restore interfacial tension and dielectric performance. It also reduces contamination of paper insulation, slowing further aging.
