FLD 0.15D Online Transformer Dry-Out System
The FLD 0.15D system is designed for the online drying of transformer insulation (oil and paper insulation). The FLD 0.15D online dry-out system is connected to the transformer and remains near it throughout the drying period. The transformer oil is circulated through three sorbent cartridges in the FLD 0.15D online dry-out system. Due to its high absorption capacity, the sorbent extracts moisture from the oil, after which the dried oil is returned to the transformer.

Description
The FLD 0.15D system is designed for the online drying of transformer insulation (oil and paper insulation).
The system’s operating principle is based on the fact that in a loaded, operating transformer, moisture migrates between the paper insulation and the oil. Therefore, the FLD 0.15D online dry-out system is connected to the transformer and remains near it throughout the drying period. The transformer oil is circulated through three sorbent cartridges in the FLD 0.15D online dry-out system. Due to its high absorption capacity, the sorbent extracts moisture from the oil, after which the dried oil is returned to the transformer.
As a result, prolonged drying not only reduces the moisture content in the oil but also in the transformer’s paper insulation. If needed, the FLD 0.15D online dry-out system can be additionally equipped with a special protective enclosure.

Application

The use of the Fluidex online transformer dry-out system is particularly justified when the transformer cannot be disconnected and sent to a repair shop for drying the winding’s paper insulation. The Fluidex system enables this process to be carried out on-site without taking the transformer offline.
