Oil paper insulation combines cellulose paper with insulating oil. The paper provides mechanical strength and base insulation while oil fills pores increasing dielectric strength and removing heat. This system suppresses partial discharge and electrical stress but ages due to heat moisture and oxygen making oil monitoring essential.
