Where are oil filled water cooled transformers commonly used?

Water cooled transformers are used where air cooling is constrained or where high heat density must be removed efficiently. Typical applications include large industrial plants, underground facilities, marine or offshore installations, and some generating stations where cooling water is available and ambient air is hot or dirty. Water cooling can reduce footprint and noise, but it requires careful leak monitoring and corrosion control in the cooling circuit.
