    Oil leaks occur due to gasket aging, seal shrinkage, thermal cycling, corrosion, mechanical vibration, or tank deformation. Over decades of service, these factors degrade sealing materials. Even small leaks can introduce air and moisture, making early detection and repair important for transformer reliability.
