FLD 12R Oil Regeneration System

• Description

  The FLD 12R system is designed for transformer oil regeneration. Oil regeneration is performed by running oxidized transformer oil through adsorptive layers of Fuller’s Earth. Fuller’s Earth constitutes purified clay that does a very effective job by removing polar contaminants and other oxidation by-products from the transformer oil.

  After regeneration with the use of Fluidex equipment, the parameters of oxidized transformer oil are restored to those of new oil.

• Advantages

  The Fluidex regeneration technology offers many advantages over conventional regeneration systems. With a Fluidex regeneration system, the Fuller’s Earth can be reused up to 500 times or more before replacement is required. This makes the plant operator’s work easier, as there is no need to physically handle hundreds of kilograms of Fuller’s Earth every day. The ability to reuse Fuller’s Earth eliminates the need for disposal and the associated costs, including additional material handling, environmental concerns related to dumping the oil-soaked Fuller’s Earth, and the special equipment required for disposal of this adsorbent.

  Fluidex technology reduces oil losses associated with disposal of spent Fuller’s Earth by more than 90%. This significantly decreases the need for transformer oil replacement and the associated costs.

• Application

  FLD 12R oil regeneration systems can be used for regeneration of  transformer oils,  turbine oils, hydraulic oils, gear oils, industrial oils, silicone oils, Midel 7131 dielectric fluids, FR3 dielectric fluids.

  Additionally, FLD 12R oil regeneration systems can be used for polishing of gas condensates, marine fuels, diesel fuels, fuel oils, boat fuels.
