FLD 72R Oil Regeneration Plant

• Description

  The FLD 72R plant is designed for transformer oil regeneration. Oil regeneration is done by running oxidized transformer oil through adsorptive layers of Fuller’s Earth. Fuller’s Earth constitutes purified clay that does a very effective job by removing polar contaminants and other oxidation by-products from the transformer oil.

  After regeneration with the use of Fluidex equipment, the parameters of oxidized transformer oil are restored to those of new oil.

  Fluidex regeneration technology offers many advantages over conventional regeneration systems. With a Fluidex regeneration system, Fuller’s Earth can be reused up to 500 or more times before they need to be replaced. This makes the life of the plant operator easier since he does not have to physically handle hundreds of kilograms of Fuller’s Earth per day. This ability to reuse the Fuller’s Earth eliminates the need and the costs associated with disposal, extra handling of material, environmental issues of dumping the oil soaked Fuller’s Earth and special equipment necessary for dumping of the spent Fuller’s Earth.

  Fluidex’s Technology reduces oil losses associated with the dumping of spent Fuller’s Earth by over 90%. This greatly reduces the need and associated costs of replacement transformer oil.
