Transformer Oil Purification Machine – FLD 26.4D

The FLD 26.4D transformer oil purification machine is recognized for treatment of dielectric oil with a mass moisture content of 50 ppm and a volumetric dissolved gas content of approx. 10% before being treated.

Note. The photo shows the machine in a frame-type version. At the customer's request, the machine can be manufactured on a road speed trailer (80 km/h).
  • Description

    The FLD 26.4D oil filtration machine is recognized for treatment of dielectric oil with a mass  moisture content of 50 ppm and a volumetric dissolved gas content of approx. 10 % before being treated.

    Parameters of the treated oil after one pass through the machine:

    • Maximum temperature – 80 °C;
    • moisture content — less than 5 ppm;
    • dissolved gas content – approximately 0.1 % (or less) by volume;
    • breakdown voltage — above 75 kV.

    Under the same conditions, oil with a moisture content of 20 ppm will leave the system, indicating 3 (or less) ppm after one pass.

    The above values are achieved with oils having a 10–2 mbar distillation curve at a temperature of 80 °C.

    Principle of operation

    The dielectric fluid enters the system through an inlet mesh filter, then flows through an oil heating assembly where it is heated by immersion heaters. After being finely filtered on a 25-micron cartridge, the dielectric fluid enters the vacuum chamber where it is atomized through filter-activators. Finally, after the contaminants are removed, the purified fluid leaves the system through an outlet oil pump and flows through a finishing filter, a meter, and an outlet valve to the machine outlet.

  • Advantages

    • FR3 fluids.

    Furthermore, the FLD 26.4D oil purifiers can be used for heating of transformer oil, filling of the oil into a transformer under vacuum, or for vacuumizing of transformers.

    Performance adjustment with manual valves

    Performance adjustment of the vacuum pump is executed with a regulator on the control panel by means of a valve with an electric drive. Visual monitoring of the flow rate is by the flow meter indicator
