A crude oil degasser operates by separating gases from crude oil as it is extracted from the ground. The crude oil enters the degasser, where it is heated, and a vacuum or centrifugal force is applied to separate dissolved gases like methane and ethane. These gases are collected for further use or disposal, while the degassed crude oil moves on for further refining or transportation.
