Crude oil is degassed by passing it through a degassing unit or station where gases like methane, ethane, and hydrogen sulfide are separated. The oil is heated, and a vacuum or centrifugal force is applied to remove the gases. The degassed crude oil is then sent for further processing or transportation, while the gases are collected for use or disposal.
