Ultrasonic degassing of oil is a method where ultrasonic sound waves are applied to the oil to remove dissolved gases and air bubbles. The high-frequency sound waves create cavitation bubbles, which collapse and displace gases from the oil. This process is commonly used in applications where even tiny gas bubbles can affect the oil’s performance, such as in high-precision machinery or sensitive electronic equipment.
