Ultrasonic degassing is applied by immersing the oil in a container that is subjected to high-frequency ultrasonic waves. The cavitation process generates microscopic bubbles that collapse, displacing dissolved gases and forcing them to the surface of the oil. The gas can then be collected or vented, leaving the oil degassed and free of air bubbles.
