A power transformer consists of several key components: the core, which is typically made of laminated silicon steel to reduce energy losses; primary and secondary windings, which are coils of copper or aluminum wire that facilitate electromagnetic induction; and insulation materials that separate the windings and core to prevent electrical shorts. Additionally, the transformer is filled with insulating oil to cool the components and enhance electrical insulation. These elements work together to efficiently transfer electrical energy between circuits.
