A transformer oil water separator removes moisture through coalescence and gravity separation or vacuum dehydration. Free and emulsified water droplets are aggregated and separated, while dissolved moisture is removed under vacuum and heat. This process restores dielectric strength and prevents insulation degradation. Water separators are often integrated into oil filtration and purification systems used during maintenance or emergency drying.
