After filtration, collect an oil sample in a hermetically sealed BDV test cell. Test using a calibrated BDV tester with standard electrode gap (2.5 mm). Fluidex offers test kits and processing units with built-in BDV sampling ports. Typical target is ? 60 kV for new or well-treated oil. A successful BDV test confirms the oil’s insulation strength.
