What are the characteristics of paraffin based transformer oil?

Paraffin based transformer oil has good oxidation stability, higher pour point, and relatively higher viscosity compared to naphthenic oil. It offers long-term chemical stability but may require pour point depressants for cold climates. Selection depends on operating temperature range and cooling design.
