IEC 60156 specifies the breakdown voltage (BDV) test: 2.5 mm gap electrodes, voltage rise 2 kV/s, and oil at ambient temperature. Acceptable BDV is typically ? 60 kV. Fluidex provides BDV testers and systems that restore oil to these standards through purification.
