    What causes temperature rise in oil filled transformers?

    Temperature rise is caused by copper losses in windings, core losses in magnetic steel, overloading, inadequate cooling, high ambient temperature, or oil degradation. Poor oil circulation or blocked radiators can further increase temperature, accelerating insulation aging and reducing transformer life.
