“Superfine” transformer oil usually refers to insulating oil that has been filtered to very low particle levels and tightly controlled moisture content, intended to maximize dielectric margin and reduce partial discharge risk. It may be specified for high voltage units, EHV bushings, instrument transformers, or factory filling where cleanliness is critical. In some markets it is also used as a marketing term for high purity mineral oil meeting strict limits on acidity, dielectric loss, and contamination.
