Typical flash point depends on oil type and specification. Mineral transformer oils are commonly in the range of roughly 140 to 160 degrees Celsius, while natural ester fluids and silicone fluids generally have much higher flash and fire points. Exact values vary by formulation, inhibitor package, and test method. Always use the product data sheet and the specified test standard results from the supplier, especially when the oil is intended for fire sensitive installations or regulated environments.
